Emotional Wellbeing Workshops & Countywide Learning Events

The Children and Young People Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health workshops bring together Kent education settings and partner agencies who have a role in supporting children and young people with their wellbeing. The workshops aim to:

  • Improve confidence of education settings and partner agencies
  • Provide information and practical resources from expert speakers
  • Build collaboration between schools and services; and
  • Provide the opportunity for networking.

Workshops are coordinated in each district across Kent, throughout the academic year. Each one has a focus topic with a presentation from an expert speaker, providing specialist information, knowledge and skills to explore areas of interest, and evidence-based resources and good practice. They are designed to meet local needs, and therefore subjects are chosen locally.

“95% of attendees feel more confident supporting young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health by attending the workshops.”

The Countywide Learning Events are held virtually and are for education settings across Kent and Medway only. They explore emerging trends and popular topics which are identified through the emotional wellbeing  and mental health workshops. Each event also features Q&A, providing attendees the opportunity to ask questions about the topic.

All events are recorded and available to watch after the event. View recent recordings.

Both the Children and Young People Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health workshops and Countywide Learning Events are organised by Kent County Council (KCC), in partnership with NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT).
