This page will provide you with a list of services and support available for young people to support them with their mental health.

CALM
CALM runs a free and confidential helpline and web chat from 5pm to midnight, 7 days a week, for anyone who needs to talk through any problems. They aim of the service is to: • reduce the rates of suicide by providing a listening ear • help people going through crisis • support people impacted by suicide. They provide resources and advice and can signpost you to other organisations who may be able to help.

Chat Health
Young people can text with a member of the school nursing team about any physical or emotional health concerns they have. This service is confidential and anonymous.

Childline
Childline provides online and over the phone advice and information for children and young people up to the age of 18. The helpline team can provide advice, support, counselling and refer young people to other services if needed. Dandelion Time
Dandelion Time is a Kent based charity offering nature-based therapy to families who child/children may be experiencing mental health challenges.

Emerge Advocacy Service
Emerge volunteers are there to support young people aged 10 – 25 when they come into hospital because of self-harm, a suicide attempt or because of an emotional crisis.

Good Thinking
Good Thinking provides online resources to help children and young people with their mental health. This includes free apps, podcasts, blogs, videos, webinars, how to guides and workbooks.

Kent talking therapies is a counselling service for young people and adults aged over 18. They can support you with mild mental health issues.

Live Well Kent can help you improve your mental and physical health and wellbeing. It is a free service for anyone aged 17 and over.

Megan CIC
Megan CIC offers group support for those who have, or have had, mental health issues, and/or those who are neurodiverse. Megan CIC is for young people aged 18 and above.

Mental Health Service for Kent Children and Young People

MindOut is a mental health service run by and for LGBTQ people. They offer an anonymous message service for immediate help.

Primary Community Network Mental Health Practitioners
Primary Community Network Mental Health Practitioners (PCN MHP) are specially trained clinicians embedded in specified GP surgeries across Kent to help children and young people who may be experiencing low to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues which present as low mood, self harming behaviors, anxiety, school refusal, behavioural difficulties, or sleep difficulties. Offers direct 1:1 work with CYP, or parent led support.

The Mix – Counselling service
If you’re looking for short-term support with your mental health and emotional wellbeing, The Mix Counselling service could be right for you. Our free counselling is open to any young person aged 13 to 25. In a confidential, safe space, our trained counsellors are here to listen, understand what you’re going through and help you find ways to cope.

Togetherall
Togetherall is for young people aged 16 to 18 in need of mental health support. It offers an online community that can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are also self-assessments and recommended resources, as well as a wide range of self-guided courses young people can do at their own pace.

Unlock Wellbeing – Project Sleep
Project Sleep is for young people who want to improve their sleep. Young people aged 13 to 25 can take part. You'll be asked to complete some questionnaires about yourself, your sleep habits, and mood.

Unlock Wellbeing SSIs
This SSI teaches young people to build a body-neutral mindset, how to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings about your body, and how to build their own body neutrality action plan.

Young Minds
If you want to understand more about how you’re feeling and find ways to feel better, Young Minds can help. They can provide advice on specific mental health issues and any difficulties young people may be facing such as bullying or abuse. The Young Minds crisis messenger provides 24/7 crisis support across the UK. All texts are free and are answered by trained volunteers.
