School Resilience Toolkit
Welcome to the School Toolkit for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing. HeadStart Kent have developed and piloted this free resilience toolkit to make it easier for your school to implement a whole school approach to resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Here schools will find the resources they need to assess their current approach to resilience and wellbeing, celebrate existing good practice and identify key actions to develop their whole school approach even further.
The School Toolkit supports schools in leading and developing a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing which is referenced in the updated OFSTED framework. The toolkit can support schools to monitor whole school community, PSHE and other strategies and activities that contribute to improvement priorities.
The toolkit is designed to be completed by a resilience team within your school. This team should be made up of a variety of staff who are representative of your school’s community, including members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), those in pastoral roles, and those in teaching or support roles, who can work through each stage of the toolkit together.
Please click on the following links to find more information and resources to complete each stage of the toolkit:
Schools can sign up to ensure they have access to the free resources and additional support offered from the School Health Service. (opens on kentcht.nhs.uk)
