Emotional Wellbeing Support for Young People in Kent | The Young Lives Foundation

The Young Lives Foundation provides emotional wellbeing support for young people aged 11-17 across Kent through both one-to-one mentoring and group-based programmes. The service is designed for young people experiencing low-level emotional wellbeing difficulties, including anxiety, low confidence, feelings of isolation, challenges with friendships or relationships, and difficulties managing change or transitions. Support focuses on helping young people better understand their feelings, develop coping strategies, build resilience and improve their overall wellbeing.

Young people can access regular support from a trusted mentor in their school or local community, providing a safe space to talk, set goals and build confidence. Alternatively, The Young Lives Foundation’s Nurture Groups bring together young people with similar experiences to share, learn new skills and develop supportive connections with others. Both approaches aim to reduce isolation, strengthen self-esteem, improve relationships and help young people feel more able to manage everyday challenges. Support can be provided for up to six months, depending on individual need.
